Once upon a time, there was a girl named Laura who thrived under stressful situations and actually secretly enjoyed being busy all the time. She barely watched TV and when she was faced with this thing called free time, she had no idea what to do with it. She spent her time studying for her masters of accounting graduate school classes, cramming for the CPA exams, working at the university gym, taking kickboxing classes and working out, helping with recruiting (whether it was for her sorority or her future employer), and then kicking back a glass or eight of beer with her other type-A friends at night and on weekends. When she finally graduated and passed all four parts of the CPA exam, she continued that celebration until she went on a 25 day backpacking trip to Europe. That trip, by the way, was amazing and life changing. But once she returned, her life as she knew it had changed drastically. Once her Europe-high faded and the hangover set in, she realized she was now stuck living at home in the suburbs of metro Atlanta, with most of her friends already working full time and nothing but two full months of…free time.
Fast forward two years later, and the post-college life isn’t all that it’s cut out to be, but with good friends, good wine, and a good amount of vacation days, exploring Atlanta and traveling to other cities makes it all kind of okay. This blog highlights things to do, places to eat, places to drink and other important tips for different cities, both within the US and abroad.
